California Summit is Taking Palliative Care Mainstream

What skillsets are needed to provide quality palliative care? And what policy measures should be in place to make palliative care a regular part of health care? These are just some of the questions Coalition for Compassionate Care of California will address at its 9th Annual Palliative Care Summit in Sacramento, California, on March 13-14, 2017.

CURES Mandate Implementation Date Remains Unclear

Under California law, all individuals practicing in California who possess both a state regulatory board license authorized to prescribe, dispense, furnish or order controlled substances and a DEA Certificate must be registered to use CURES. Checking the CURES database will eventually be mandatory, but the exact date the mandate will take effect is unclear.
