Leadership Development Opportunity for Medical Students July 2, 2011 CMA, Leadership development, Local Events, SFMS Member Events leadership development, local event, medical student 0 UCSF medical students are invited to attend the 6th Annual California Medical Association Medical Student Leadership Conference, September 10, at the UC Davis School of Medicine. With the theme “Developing Leaders for a Healthier California,” the 2011 conference focuses on how advocacy and leadership skills can be used to improve children’s health and begin reversing childhood obesity. Participants will be able to: Hear from nationally recognized physicians and elected officials leading the efforts to implement health care reform and improve the health of California’s children; Gain skills in grassroots advocacy to effectively influence policy; and, Learn about the latest practices to improve patient safety. Registration is free to all California medical students. Reimbursement for travel expenses may be available through your school CMA/AMA campus chapter or SFMS/CMA.
