Physician Support at Marin Evacuation Site October 11, 2017 Local Events HHS, Volunteer, Wildfires 0 The Marin County Department of Health & Human Services is coordinating staffing at the Marin County Evacuation Center at the Civic Center which is currently assisting 400-500 evacuees of the North Bay wildfires. As the fire disaster progresses, they are assembling a list of potential physician volunteers who would be willing to cover 8-8 shifts through Monday morning. Physicians are needed onsite to help address ongoing, low-acuity medical needs of evacuees, and triage more acute patients who may need to be transported to the hospital. If you are able to help staff the Marin County Evacuation Center for an 8-8 shift, please contact Erin Henke at ehenke@sfmms.org and provide the following information: Full name Contact information (email and cell phone) Specialty Potential shift for which you are available (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am, today through Monday morning) If you sign up and your assistance is needed, you will be contacted by the Marin County Emergency Operations Center. Thank you for supporting our neighbors to the north who have been devastated by these wildfires. Comments are closed.
