Request for Proposals: Opioid Safety Resources for Health Plans and Health Systems January 24, 2018 Practice Management CHCF, Opioid Safety, Toolkit 0 The California Health Care Foundation (CHCF), in partnership with Smart Care California, is seeking proposals from consultants, organizations, and/or firms to respond to two opportunities, both designed to lower opioid overdose deaths. Applicants may respond to one or both opportunities. Toolkit/change package for health plans for implementation of opioid safety initiatives. NOTE: This is a funding opportunity from CHCF for up to $100,000. Resource catalog of companies and organizations available to assist health plans and providers with implementing opioid safety and addiction treatment initiatives. The resource catalog will include three topics. Applicants may respond to one or more of the following: -Consultation and technical assistance to health plans to support plan-wide opioid safety initiatives. -Outreach, education, and/or academic detailing for outlier prescribers (providing education to prescribers on behalf of a health plan or delivery system, or training staff to provide the same). -Technical assistance and training for provider systems implementing medication-assisted treatment programs in primary care and other settings. NOTE: This is an opportunity to have your firm/organization included in a resource catalog that will be shared with health plans and delivery systems. CHCF is not providing funding to support technical assistance and consulting engagements; however, funding opportunities to support medication-assisted treatment training and technical assistance may be available in the future.
